Things you should know when working with us
We will not divulge any of your personal information to any third party without your prior permission. Your consent for us to discuss your affairs with Tax Office is a requirement of our engagement. You will be asked to sign a specific ATO form for this purpose. Periodically the IPA conducts Quality Assurance Review on this practice, to ensure compliance with industry best practice procedures.
SCHEDULING OF ANNUAL COMPLIANCE WORK
Annual compliance work (financial statements & income tax returns) will be attended to on a prearranged basis. Each year, in consultation with you, your file will be allotted for completion in a particular month. We will contact you during the month prior to arrange for collection of the required information. Your assistance in providing all of the required information as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated. Subject to receipt of required information, we expect your file to be completed by end of the allotted month.
Our fees are based on our expectation of the degree of skill, acumen and licensing required to complete the engagement in a professional manner. An engagement letter, detailing our proposed service and fee quotation will be provided prior to commencement of annual compliance work. Other services will be charged on a time basis, or job rate. In some instances, a deposit may be required for larger engagements. This will be discussed where necessary. Your fees will include any out-of-pocket expenses or disbursements as arranged. All fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to commencement of the work to be done.
Our trading terms are strictly payment due within 7 days from date of invoice, which will be provided on completion of the work done. Should you experience difficulty in meeting these terms, please contact us to discuss. For individual tax return clients, fees will be due and payable on signing the return, and prior to lodgement of the return. Forms of payment accepted are cash, cheque, direct deposit, EFTPOS & major credit cards. In the interests of keeping our fees to a minimum we do not deduct fees from refunds.
DISPUTE AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION
All disputes and complaints are to be discussed with the Principal. We take pride in our client service and will always endeavour to provide a professional & ethical service. If we are unable to rectify the situation satisfactorily, then the avenues available for further mediation are with our Professional Association (Institute of Public Accountants) and the Tax Practitioners Board.
